Autumn Farm Sheep Moon Folk Art Canvas Art

The Moon Is Up. The Sheep Are Out. The Farm Has Seen This Before and Is Not Concerned.

An October evening, somewhere that has always been this way. Two white sheep cross a dirt path between the pumpkins and the red farmhouse, a crescent moon hanging in the amber sky above bare trees. Everything in this painting has been here a long time and expects to remain. The light is the light of a season that arrives the same way every year and is still, every year, exactly right.

Why You'll Love It

• American primitive folk art, completely at ease with itself — flat color, direct composition, the unhurried confidence of a painting tradition that has been recording the same good things for two hundred years and has no intention of stopping
• Autumn harvest palette — warm terracotta, burnt umber, faded red, and the specific amber of a sky just after the light has gone; a palette that makes any room feel like the best week of the year, all year
• Every detail earns its place — the pumpkins, the bare branches, the crescent moon, the sheep who are going somewhere and are not in a hurry about it; the painting is complete in the way that only things assembled over time can be
• HD archival printing on artist-grade canvas — vivid, fade-resistant clarity on every print
• Natural wood frame available — ready to hang out of the box
• Made & shipped in the USA — printed on demand, crafted with care
• 9 sizes available — from 8x12" accent to 34x51" statement piece
