Two Seagulls Starfish Staredown Funny Coastal Canvas Wall Art

The Discovery — Two Seagulls and a Starfish Funny Coastal Canvas Wall Art

Neither of them has seen one before. Or they have seen many and are choosing to approach this one as if they haven’t, which amounts to the same thing. The two seagulls stand over the starfish with the careful concentration of creatures who have decided that this particular starfish requires a very thorough look. Their eyes are large and round and full of the specific kind of attention that happens when something is almost familiar but not quite, and the brain is working hard in the background. The starfish sits on the sand between their pink feet and does not explain itself, which the seagulls find both troubling and compelling. The ocean rolls in behind them, unconcerned. The sky is the clean blue of a day that has no opinion about starfish one way or the other. This is a painting about the particular focus of creatures who have found something on the beach. About two birds and one starfish and a question that is not going to resolve itself anytime soon.
